On her days off, she loves slowing down with a good book, spending time with family, and being at the beach. She feels most calm when she has a bath with a good book, and her favourite treat is cheesecake or English chocolate. Her go-to drink is Irish breakfast tea from Murchie’s. In the classroom, Joanna is known for planning engaging experiences and bringing curiosity into everything she does. She loves that children remind her to keep asking questions and stay curious. One of her favourite daily moments is the class end-of-day goodbye song. — **Hailey (Just completed her ECE)** Hailey loves summer because it means being outside, swimming, and enjoying the sunshine. Outside of work, she enjoys dancing, trying new places, and spending time with her friends and family. Her favourite treats include chocolate croissants, macarons, or sushi, and she enjoys an iced matcha latte with oat milk. In the classroom, Hailey loves dance parties, neighbourhood walks, and jumping in puddles with the children. She brings a fun, energetic presence to the room, and says children have taught her patience and to not sweat the small stuff. — **Katie (Is off completing her ECE)** Katie is in her third school year with us and is currently completing her final practicum to become an ECE. She is known for being nurturing, creative, and exceptional at program planning. She brings warmth and thoughtful, engaging experiences into the classroom where children feel safe, supported, and included. A coffee or Red Bull treat is always something that brightens her day. — We are so grateful for a team that brings care, creativity, and connection into our classrooms every day 💛

I also love drawing with the children and watching them colour in the designs I create.” **Ella (ECEA, 2nd year)** What do you enjoy outside of work? “Spending time outside enjoying nature, eating out, trying new food places, and reading.” Favourite season? “Summer. I love the warm weather, long days, and going swimming at lakes and the ocean.” Favourite treat? “My favourite go-to treat at the moment has been a cold comfort ice cream sandwich.” Coffee order? “Iced vanilla latte.” What do you hope children feel with you? “Safe, believed in, and comfortable.” **Alex (ECEA, 6th year)** What do you enjoy outside of work? “I love being outside and walking around in beautiful places. May is Child Care Appreciation month & we want to showcase our amazing team! Meet Anureet, our OSC supervisor who is in her third school year with us ☀️💙 A little bit about me… Outside of work, I enjoy hiking, playing basketball, going on walks with my friends, and reading (I once read over 500 books in the span of 10 months). What brings me a sense of calm is the ocean. I’m inspired by the people in my life — I am lucky enough to have incredible people in my community and they inspire me constantly. Taking care of myself looks like cleaning my space, a massage, and a sauna. My go-to treat is sushi, and my coffee order is a medium lavender latte with regular milk (always appreciated!). In the classroom, I love learning in tandem with the children. There is always something new to learn or puzzle over, and I appreciate the constant evolution in this field. I’m known for being the person that riles them up (in a good way) and gets them excited. My favourite activity to do with children is storytelling. I hope children feel safe, curious, and silly when they are with me. To me, belonging looks like there is something to do or someone to be with for everyone, and fostering peer relationships. Children have taught me that it is okay to fail and try again, and that it is important to be learning and unlearning to fit your evolving needs.
